About
I found I was good at listening, so I kept going.
I have spent ten years in mental health work. Most of it involved listening to people. I liked it, so I trained as a counsellor.
How I work
I work with adults. I see people in person in South London and online with anyone in the UK. You don't need a crisis to come. Feeling stuck, tired or a bit lost is reason enough.
My approach is plain. You talk, I listen and I ask the odd question. I won't use jargon and I won't promise you a fix. I will take you seriously and I might make you laugh now and then.
London born and raised, I work with people from every corner of it. You won't need to explain where you're from or make yourself smaller to fit. Come as you are.
The first session
The first session is mostly me asking questions and you answering the ones you want to. There are no wrong answers. There is no test.
We talk about what brought you here and what you'd like to be different. I explain how I work. You can ask me anything.
It lasts fifty minutes. After that, we meet weekly, at the same time, in person or online.
If it doesn't feel right, you don't have to come back. I won't take it personally. Well, not much.
